7 Stupid Simple Steps To Getting More Clients In 2018

Wow. October’s ending which leaves just two months left in the year…

Time flies, doesn’t it?

I don’t know about you Jay, but I’ve been grinding all year to make sure that my product launch of 2018 is my biggest one ever…

And if you’re aiming for a breakthrough year in 2018, you’d already be behind if you haven’t started on your takeover just yet…

Look, the last two months of the year get pretty hectic, right?

Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming and since each of these holidays is big, most of us will have to prep for them…

  • For Thanksgiving, we feast – we need to book travel or cook a massive dinner…
  • For Christmas, we shop – we need to make lists and find the perfect gifts for loved ones…

With all this going on, tell me, Jay, when will you find time to work on your own goals?

If you wanna be on top of your game, you gotta get ahead – and that means getting on your grind when everyone else is on Holiday mode…

For example, I’m on a 2 month holiday to the States but I’ve NEVER stopped working…

In the 2 weeks, I’ve been here, I’ve been negotiating and scheduling workshops across San Diego…

I’ve read 2 books and so far have helped 5 people with issues they’re trying to overcome in their business (and who knows what other opportunities those can lead to)…

I’m constantly working because 1) I love what I do and 2) no one is gonna stop me from smashing my goals except myself…

Take accountability for what you do today so that your tomorrow will be fruitful…

Grind now, rest later…

Here are 7 steps you can do this week to get ahead (while the rest of ’em are sleeping):

  1. Identify 30 high-valued contacts that you’d like to sell to
  2. Call the person and use the following scripts (generalized):
“Hello (their name) this is (your name) and I saw that you were a (their title) in the ________ industry. Do I have the right (their name)? Well, I’m not trying to sell you anything, I just have a few case studies I’d like to send to your office, it’s going to be delivered in a purple envelope with a small gift plus a way to contact me if there’s any interest on your part to work together, would that be okay? Is this the correct address that I have on file?”
  3. Some will say no, but for those that say yes, do what you said you would and send them your marketing materials in a funky envelope so they notice it immediately (doesn’t have to be purple).
  4. The week of November 6, call and follow up to check if they received your materials: “Hello (their name). This is (your name) and I’m just calling to make sure that you got my purple envelope with a small gift I put in there for you. That’s just to show you that I’m here whenever you need me. I’m not asking for anything at this time, I just wanted to wish you a happy early Thanksgiving.”
  5. Some will say yes but they’re not interested at this time, some will ask about what exactly it is you offer, others will say yes they received your package but haven’t looked through it yet, some will say they never received it. No matter what, if you don’t get hold of someone, don’t leave any messages. Keep calling until you talk to the decision maker. The key is that you get back on top of mind.
  6. The week of December 6, start sending hand-written Christmas/New Year’s cards.
  7. Starting on January 2nd, start calling your contact back with a direct request to get together for a chat.At this point, they’ve had 4 interactions with you where you Gave-Gave-Gave-Gave:- A phone call
    – Your marketing materials plus a gift
    – Another phone call to greet them happy Thanksgiving
    – A Christmas/New Year’s card

Your target client WILL be warm and receptive to hearing your pitch and you should now have 10 appointments to start the new year with prospective clients

Guess what? Most people won’t do this simply because it’s a bit of work to do and it’ll cost money:

You gotta get a gift (don’t overthink this, anything small that’ll fit in a small envelope), you gotta get postage, you gotta talk to people…

Then if you send 30 packages out and each package costs you $5, geez that’s a whopping $150 dollars!

…Big freakin’ deal!

If your pricing is right, then closing one client should be at least $150 in your pocket and any of the other 9 appointments you have will be 100% profit.

Remember, you gotta invest in yourself and your business to really make it start working for you (instead of the other way around)…

Hope you use this strategy to succeed.

Have an amazing workweek!

Thank God It’s Monday,

P.S.

Just for fun: here’s a cool photo of me doing a Ryu from Street Fighter impression with my boxing coach…
